Greenme.ie have enjoyed a whirlwind public introduction that most new businesses would only dream of! Having succeeded in getting a place among the 12 finalists for the prestigious JFC / Teagasc Innovation Awards, they have now gone one further and won their category outright!! The JFC Innovation Awards is a new award scheme aimed at the rural community with three separate categories – 1) Environment & Energy, 2) Manufacturing & Technology and 3) Rural Tourism & Value Added Food Production / Services.The innovation and enterprise competition was launched in November 2006 and saw entrants from a highly competitive field of impressive business plans and budding enterprise.Greenme.ie walked away with the top award for the Manufacturing and Technology category!! The award ceremony was held in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone last week. It was a fabulous evening and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking to the other entrants. The diversity in strong entrepreneurial skills among the entrants enforces the calibre of innovation that exists in rural business. We are humbled and proud to be considered among such talent.Greenme.ie we will the 1st of its kind to promote a comprehensive directory of Irish products direct from the producer to the consumer.
