confessions-of-an-eco-sinner1What if you knew where your cotton socks came from?

Or knew about the person who picked your coffee beans?

What if you knew how fresh green beans come to sit on the supermarket shelf all year round…? Would you stop buying them? Or would you in fact start buying them?

Fred Pearce, currently the environment consultant of New Scientist magazine and described as one of Britain’s finest science writers, set out on a journey that took him around the world seven times to discover the truth about where stuff comes from, and wrote about it in “Confessions of An Eco-Sinner”.

This Wednesday (18 Nov, 6.30pm) you can hear and talk to Fred at the Science Gallery, Trinity, Pearse Street. You will have the opportunity to hear his tale first hand, to learn how it fundamentally changed his thinking, and ask him the questions that you need answered by his often shocking and counterintuitive findings.

More than just a lecture, this event will be a talk, followed by a longer Q&A session, where you will have the chance as an audience member to make your voice heard, so come prepared with questions and comments!
