Ireland’s wave to stop climate chaos

December 8th, 2009 by GreenMe  (View Author Profile)

waveIreland’s biggest ever action on climate change took place in Dublin last Saturday as hundreds of people formed The Wave surging from the Department of the Environment at Custom House Quay eventually “crashing” against the Department of the Taoiseach on Upper Merrion Street.

Climate campaigners demanded the government to show leadership in Copenhagen next week. The action was both colourful and powerful, with participants wearing blue to represent the upsurge of public opinion for a fair and safe global deal in Copenhagen.

A huge thanks and congratulations to everyone who came along and took part!
