August 10th, 2008 by   (View Author Profile)

Can You Dig Greenme’s Gardening Tips.

July 31st, 2008 by   (View Author Profile)

Feeling green fingered but want to give toxic chemicals a miss. Well Greenme.ie’s green gardening tips are a must read. Composting is simple, fun and strangely satisfying. It′s a great way to add lots of nutrients to your lawn and garden. Diversify by planting a wide variety of plants close together. The pests of one are frequently the dinner of the pests of another, so it′s far easier to keep them in check. Buy Recycled. Use your old yoghurt pots or take away containers to plant your seeds in.  If your delicate aesthetic sensibilities cringe at that idea then at least… Read More »

Oh to grow a little house…

July 24th, 2008 by   (View Author Profile)

We love treehouses here at GreenMe.ie, as a matter of fact I am presently checking out the trees around my house to see if one will support an office!!  But, before I digress, have a look at this tree house.  Eco Architect Mitchell Joachim′s visionary design has catapulted the GreenMe office into another level of thinking altogether!! Joachim′s design explores how to grow a self sustaining teach out of growing materials!  In other words. a home grown house from live plants that are woven and bent into shape as sapplings to form the structure. Week 2 – Shopping Tips.

July 24th, 2008 by   (View Author Profile)

Are you all about the ’10 items or fewer’ line?Well it might save a couple minutes, but if you fill up your trolley and later, your fridge, you’ll make fewer overall trips to the shop, and save energy, cash and (dare we say?) even time in the process. The Benefits Pollute less. 1/2 of the pollution associated with transporting your food comes from your drive to and from the shop (the other 1/2 comes from the transport from farm to distribution center to shop). Both fridge and freezer are more efficient when you pack them full (but not so full… Read More »
